Congratulations Graduate!
We are thrilled you will be joining us Thursday, May 18 in Beaver Stadium for the 2023 Commencement Ceremony. Below you will find details for your participation in the Commencement Ceremony, guest tickets, and more. A graduate and guest FAQ is available on the graduation webpage to provide additional graduation details.
Tickets:
All guests – including children – must have tickets. Each graduate will receive four (sunny) tickets for our expected graduation in Beaver Stadium as well as two rainy day tickets. Rainy day tickets cannot be used for entrance to Beaver Stadium.
Tickets can be picked up at the Welcome and Support Center front counter during the below hours:
Monday: 8:30 am - 12:30 pm & 2 pm - 7 pm
Tuesday: 9 am - 7 pm
Wednesday: 2 pm - 7 pm
Thursday: 8 am - 7 pm
Friday: 8 am - 5 pm
Extra Tickets:
We have a limited number of extra tickets available. Graduates planning to attend the commencement ceremony may request up to two extra tickets. To ensure that all graduates are able to bring their friends and family, please only request the number of extra tickets you plan to use. Tickets will be assigned on a first come basis until all available tickets have all been claimed. Please complete the Extra Ticket Request Form – email or in-person requests for extra tickets will not be accepted.
Attire, Caps and Gowns:
Cap, gown, and tassel are required and available for purchase at the bookstore, which also has other graduation-related items not required for purchase. Students experiencing financial hardship can request assistance through the "Gowns for Grads" program. Grads need to complete this form: Gowns for Grads Program Form with their information. We will contact students within 48 business hours with the determination on their request.
Please note: You will be walking a decent distance to reach the stage including across the track and down a short set of stairs – we urge you to consider flat or low wedged footwear.
Accommodations:
Graduates needing accommodations, please email ARC_PIO@losrios.edu with your name, WID, and requested accommodations.
Graduation Day:
- 6 PM – Meet on the bottom floor of the parking garage for check in.
- 6:30 PM – Begin to line up for the procession in the walkway between the parking garage and tennis courts (back side of the parking garage).
- 7 PM – Enter the stadium and take seats.

After the introductory remarks, one row of graduates at a time will be asked to line up to go to the stage and accept your diploma cover. Each of the two sections will have their own line. See graphic for how grads will cross the stage and return to their seats.
- At the end of graduation, all students will exit the stadium on the opposite side where a family and grad meet up area has been established.
