March's cafes were BUSY--people are really starting to get the 'memo' about Repair Cafes in the Hudson Valley! Lots of record-breaking cafes, so many things fixed, so much money saved and so much fun was had reconnecting with neighbors across the region.

Seeking Volunteers for new cafe in Putnam County

Sustainable Putnam, the local nonprofit behind our Mahopac Repair Cafe, is seeking volunteers to help staff a new cafe in the Putnam County town of Kent, NY. This would be our third cafe in Putnam County! All ability levels and many different skill sets welcome; it takes all sorts of volunteers to put on a successful new repair cafe, not just repair coaches. If you have questions or are interested in volunteering, please contact Joe Mountouri at volunteers@sustainableputnam.org or at (646) 598-6560.

So much repair goodness this Earth Month--new cafes at RPI in Troy (open to the public but please note this cafe is on MONDAY, April 14th) and Chester in Orange County. Also a pop up cafe by Sustainable Putnam at Boscobel Restoration and the Catskill Repair Cafe, our only one in Greene county, returns to a new location at the Catskill Fire Department. Also Pleasantville, Highland Falls and many more return! As always, contact info for each of these cafes is available on our website, www.repaircafehv.org/calendar.
