Introducing Reward Gateway

ENGAGED EMPLOYEES

Astec is excited to roll out Reward Gateway, a platform designed to acknowledge you and your efforts, promote actions that drive results, and share accomplishments! Reward Gateway went live for U.S. sites on March 3, 2025, and will go live at international sites on June 2, 2025.


Reward Gateway enables you to send on-the-spot recognition e-cards to celebrate your coworkers and automatically sends rewards for milestone anniversaries at 1, 3, and 5 years of service, with increasing rewards in 5-year increments after that.


When you receive a reward, you can go into Reward Gateway and select your own awards, including Amazon marketplace and various gift cards. You also have access to wellness and discount programs through the portal.


To find Reward Gateway on the Astec Intranet page, go to Navigation > Our People > Reward Gateway or click the "Reward Gateway" button under Employee Resources.

Severe Weather Preparedness Month

SAFETY

April is Severe Weather Preparedness Month. At Astec, the safety and wellbeing of our employees is our top priority. With many places experiencing unpredictable weather this time of year, prepare yourself by reviewing these safety tips:


Stay Informed: Monitor weather updates through reliable sources like the National Weather Service, weather apps, or local news to get alerts for severe weather events such as storms, floods, or tornadoes.


Create an Emergency Kit: Prepare a kit with essentials like non-perishable food, water (one gallon per person per day for at least three days), flashlights, batteries, first aid supplies, medications, and important documents.


Know Your Shelter Locations: Identify the safest places in your home. For tornadoes, go to a basement or interior room on the lowest floor. For floods, avoid low-lying areas. Know where to go if you’re caught outside.


Have a Communication Plan: Establish a family emergency communication plan in case you get separated. Make sure everyone knows how to reach each other or where to meet.

Astec Shows Off XR Technology At UTC Engineers Week

INNOVATION

The Asphalt Products Engineering team at Astec proudly participated in the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) community open house, which marked the end of their 2025 Engineers Week celebration. As part of our commitment to fostering innovation and advancing technology in the infrastructure industry, the team showcased an interactive demonstration using cutting-edge Extended Reality (XR) headsets.


Our immersive headsets allowed students and their families to experience firsthand how Astec is at the forefront of building industry-changing solutions. The XR headsets provided a unique opportunity to see and interact with digital models and simulations, showcasing how we integrate the latest technologies to build smarter, more sustainable solutions for the future.


At Astec, we believe that by pushing the boundaries of what's possible through technology, we can not only improve our products but also inspire the next generation of engineers and problem solvers!

SMART Goals Are Due March 31st

ENGAGED EMPLOYEES

Astec strives to be an Employer of Choice and foster engaged employees by using SMART Goals to align employee effort with the Astec 2030 Strategic Business Plan, set clear expectations, and evaluate and reward performance.


SMART Goals progress will be discussed with your manager in the next High-Performance Conversation (HPC) and contributes to pay-for-performance merit increases. 


SMART Goals for all employees must be set and submitted to Local HR by March 31, 2025.

Introducing Built to Lead

ENGAGED EMPLOYEES

Astec is excited to offer leadership training through our Built to Lead program, designed to foster engaged employees and provide our leaders with resources to drive growth. Training will include various live training courses and self-led leadership training courses on Astec Learning. There will also be two in-person training programs called Leadership 101 and Leadership 201.
