Walk for Hope at the Annual Purple Walk October 11 💜

We’re calling on our community to take a stand against domestic violence.

Join us on October 11 for Child & Family Center’s Annual Purple Walk, a 5K event dedicated to raising awareness and showing unwavering support for survivors of domestic violence.

Whether you’re walking solo, with a team, or bringing your dog along, this is more than just a walk, it’s a statement of solidarity, strength, and hope.

This year, your participation matters more than ever. Recent budget cuts have made community support critical to sustaining services for those affected by violence and trauma. Together, we can ensure survivors continue to receive the care and advocacy they deserve.

Family Festival Fun

We proudly joined Assemblymember Pilar Schiavo's Youth & Family Festival, where hundreds of families enjoyed a day of fun and connection through activities like yoga, safety demos, and even a drum circle. Events like this reflect our mission to support kids by strengthening families and building more connected communities.

Backpacks, Resources & Ready to Learn!

School is back, and thanks to the generosity of the Elks and our dedicated partners, hundreds of local children started the year ready for success! The Elks donated 300 brand-new backpacks for our clients, ensuring students walked into the classroom prepared and confident. Our Antelope Valley team delivered 140+ backpacks to families at Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission, alongside resources and coping skills workshops with Parents Anonymous, All for Kids, and AVPH. At Sierra Vista Junior High, we provided 74 backpacks and hosted interactive activities on stress management and the impact of substances on learning.

A heartfelt thank you to the Elks, our partners, and our amazing staff for making this back-to-school season brighter and healthier for our youth!

Here's a glimpse into July's impact:
