SPOTLIGHT
HomeAid's Builders & Friends BBQ
| | |
This past month, Jason, Charlie, and Jalyn had the pleasure of attending the HomeAid Builders & Friends BBQ—an annual event that brings together some of the region’s most passionate and dedicated industry professionals for an afternoon of celebration, connection, and purpose.
Held at the beautiful National Botanic Garden in South Riding, the event was a blend of fun and mission-driven community. They enjoyed delicious BBQ, friendly rounds of cornhole, live music, and even raffle prizes to keep things exciting.
| | |
Jason, Charlie, and Jalyn connected with builders, trade partners, and fellow industry leaders who all share a commitment to not just building homes—but building hope. Events like these remind us how powerful collaboration can be when it’s rooted in compassion and community impact.
We’re proud to support organizations like HomeAid that align so closely with our values, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to engage in conversations that shape the future of housing and design in our region.
Stay tuned—we’re always looking for new ways to give back and grow stronger through partnerships like these.

SWEET SUCCESS
From Stalled to Sold: A Swift Turnaround in Alexandria
| | |
Our recent staging at 715 S Washington St #A11 in Old Town Alexandria was nothing short of transformational. After lingering on the market, this 1-bedroom, 1-bath condo—spanning 579 sq ft—went under contract in just three days after staging, with multiple offers submitted immediately
Our staging brought the space to life: cozy lounge areas, a welcoming dining nook, and thoughtful décor enhanced its charm and helped buyers visualize everyday living in Old Town Gardens. Within days, interest surged—and the condo was snapped up, underlining how impactful staging can be. Here's why it worked:
| |
Defined every zone: We created clear living, dining, and working spaces to showcase the condo’s multi-functional possibilities.
Amplified light and space: Light fabrics and minimal styling enhanced brightness and flow.
| | |
Lead stager Ashley shared her thoughts on the transformation:
"The previous setup didn’t really complement the size or flow of the space, which made it feel smaller than it was. But I saw the potential right away—it’s such a charming unit in a fantastic location. With a better layout, appropriately scaled pieces, and a cohesive design, we were able to bring out its warmth and character. I wanted buyers to walk in and immediately feel like they could live there."
This success isn't just speed—it’s proof that a thoughtfully staged home speaks volumes. In a busy spring market, 715 S Washington St #A11 demonstrated how staging turns potential into a rapid sale.

A Heartfelt Thank You for a Successful Warehouse Sale
| | |
We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us for our annual Warehouse Sale. From the moment our doors opened, the energy was incredible—clients, stagers, realtors, and home design lovers came together to browse, shop, and connect.
This sale is always special to us, not just because it helps us make room for new inventory, but because it gives our gently used pieces a chance to shine in new spaces. Many of these items have helped stage some of the region’s most beautiful homes, and it was so rewarding to see them find fresh purpose in yours.
Thank you for showing up, sharing kind words, and making the morning such a success. Whether you took home a new dining set or simply stopped by to say hello, we loved seeing so many familiar faces—and meeting a few new ones too.
We’re already looking forward to our next Warehouse Sale in September. Until then, thank you for being a part of our community!

TRICK OF THE TRADES
Protect & Paint: Smart Hack for Picture Frames
| | |
Picture frames can get expensive, especially if you’ve got that one custom-framed favorite that’s tricky to take apart. Instead of replacing a scratched or chipped frame, try this simple hack to give it a quick makeover!
Slip playing cards, index cards, or even Post-it notes under the edges of the frame to protect the glass and artwork. Next, cover the center with newspaper or scrap paper, then lightly spray your favorite paint over the frame.
This sneaky trick keeps the paint off the glass and saves you from the hassle (and cost!) of disassembling or buying new frames.

BEHIND THE SCENES
Welcoming New Ownership with the Same Trusted Vision
| | |
After nearly two decades of transforming homes and elevating the art of staging, Staged Interior is entering an exciting new chapter. We are proud to announce that the company is now under new ownership, led by Jason Harty and Charles Walters.
This transition marks both a celebration of our past and a bold step toward the future. Founders Young and Trish Kim built Staged Interior from the ground up in 2006, guided by a deep love for home design, a strong sense of purpose, and an unwavering commitment to quality.
"In 2006, Trish and I founded Staged Interior from our home, never anticipating the remarkable growth it would achieve. Driven by the enthusiasm of our loyal Realtors and builders, we pursued excellence, guided by our mission to "Enrich Lives through Impactful Creativity." Now, nearly twenty years later, it feels like we’re passing the torch for our cherished company. We couldn’t envision better successors than Jason and Charlie, whose vibrant energy complements our exceptional team of dedicated, talented professionals." - Young Kim
Over the years, they shaped the company into one of the most respected and successful home staging businesses in the region. Their dedication to excellence earned the trust of thousands of clients, from real estate agents and builders to homeowners preparing to sell.
Jason and Charlie now step into this new role with immense respect for that legacy and a clear vision for what’s ahead.
"Taking over Staged Interior, alongside my partner Charles Walters, has been one of the most meaningful opportunities of my career. I’m incredibly grateful to Young & Trish for the legacy they’ve built with such care, talent, and dedication over the years. It’s clear how much heart they poured into this company, and I’m honored to carry that forward. My goal is to nurture what makes this business so special while continuing to grow and evolve it for the future.” - Jason Harty
| | |
With their combined backgrounds in business strategy, design, and project management, Jason and Charlie are well-positioned to lead Staged Interior into its next phase. But while the leadership may be new, the values that built this company remain unchanged. The heart of Staged Interior—our passionate team, personalized service, and commitment to helping homes sell faster and for top dollar—will continue to shine through in every project.
Our clients and industry partners can expect the same level of professionalism and creativity they’ve always known, along with exciting innovations and enhancements in the months and years to come. Jason and Charlie are deeply committed to fostering the close-knit, collaborative culture that defines our team and to building upon the strong relationships that have been the cornerstone of our success.
| | |
To all of our clients, realtors, builders, and friends: thank you for being part of our journey so far. We are grateful for your trust, and we’re excited to keep serving you—with the same heart, the same standards, and a renewed vision for what’s possible.
