Greetings!
What would compel someone to lay down his life for you? What would compel you to lay down your life for another? Is it not love?
"Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends." (John 15:13)
First, God reveals His love
to
us. But then, He reveals His love
through
us!
Because of the extravagant love we have been shown, we can respond to even the greatest tragedies of life with a supernatural, divinely imparted kind of love.
People devastated by disaster need a safe and clean home, among many other things. But even more than that, they need to know the King of Love
who offers them forgiveness, and an eternal home; one that no flood or fire can ever take away.
This is why we exist. To make His great name known in the midst of crisis.
…For love is as strong as death…its flashes are flashes of fire, the very flame of the Lord. Many waters cannot quench love… (Song of Songs 8:6-7)
We are 10 years into this journey of God revealing His love to us and through us, as a network of churches in Greater Austin, united together to bring hope into crisis. The need to respond with His love in the face of crisis is only increasing.
Will you help us carry the mission of God forward? Because of love?
