Bright Futures: A College Degree for Park City's First-Generation Students


From nursing to finance, 22-year-old Bright Futures student Miguel Morales gives an inside look at life beyond high school as he navigates Utah State University while experiencing the highs and lows of a first-gen student. Learn what keeps him motivated to continue his collegiate path forward despite some bumps in the road.

Bright Futures, one of PCEF's 8 Signature Initiatives, makes a minimum 7-year commitment to Park City's first-gen students. Bright Futures provides a college-readiness curriculum, individualized coaching, peer support and financial assistance from 10th grade all the way through college graduation.

The $5,000 UPS Stores Park City Grant goes to Trailside Elementary, with 72% parent participation in giving to PCEF! And - there was a TIE for 2nd place, between Jeremy Ranch Elementary and McPolin Elementary, with 70% each!


The UPS Stores Park City Grant Winners:

  1. $5,000 prize → 🥇 Trailside Elementary
  2. $3,000 → 🥈 TIE! Jeremy Ranch and McPolin Elementary schools will each receive $3,000.
  3. $2,000 → 🥉 Ecker Hill Middle School
  4. Parley's Park Elementary
  5. Treasure Mountain Jr High
  6. PCHS


Your generosity is an investment in the future - and the ultimate winners are our children, our educators, our schools, and our community.


Every single PCSD school will also receive $1500 this year as a thank you for their hard working volunteer PCEF Ambassadors.

Red Apple Gala 2023 was a night to remember - bubbly, bidding, dining and dancing!


The generosity of Gala attendees will help fund our $2 million yearly commitment to educator-powered initiatives and inspire our students to reach their academic and lifelong potential. An astonishing $700,000 was raised!

Live PC Give PC is the day our entire community rallies to support nonprofits during 24 Hours of Giving, hosted by the Park City Community Foundation.


Wonderful public schools create a wonderful community. Our schools are our lifeline, and a donation to one or more PCEF Live PC Give PC campaigns is a fantastic way to support schools, educators, students, and families.
