Have You Thought About the Visa Application Process for Attending the Annual Meeting?

In July of 2027, 1,700+ members of the delivery science community will convene in Toronto, Canada, for #CRS2027.

We are anticipating representation from 50+ countries and 350+ colleges, universities, and companies at next year's gathering.

In an effort to assist our global community, we are encouraging our international attendees to begin the visa application process as soon as possible!

Do You Need a Visa to Attend CRS 2027?

International attendees are encouraged to review Canada’s entry requirements well in advance of the meeting to determine whether they require a visitor visa, an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), or other travel documentation.

Please review the following information based on your country of citizenship and method of travel:

  • Traveling from the United States: U.S. citizens are exempt from the eTA requirement but must carry proper identification, such as a valid U.S. passport, when traveling to Canada.

  • Travelers who need a visitor visa: Most travelers who require a visa must obtain a visitor visa (Temporary Resident Visa) before traveling to Canada. Requirements and application information are available through the Government of Canada. Learn more about visitor visas.

  • Travelers who only need an eTA: Visa-exempt foreign nationals traveling to Canada by air generally need an eTA rather than a visitor visa. The eTA is electronically linked to your passport and is required before boarding your flight to Canada. Learn more about eTAs.

*Everyone needs the right documents to travel to or transit through Canada: an electronic travel authorization (eTA), a visitor visa, or just a passport. You can find more information here. For those traveling from the United States, please stay up to date with traveling to Canada by reviewing here.

CRS 2027 Has Officially Registered with the IRCC!

CRS is proud to announce that we have registered with the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). International attendees who require documentation to support their visa application may request an official Letter of Invitation from CRS. Once your Letter of Invitation request is submitted and processed, CRS will provide the meeting's IRCC event code, which may be used as part of your visa application process.

Please note: CRS does not determine visa or eTA requirements, nor can CRS guarantee visa approval. Attendees are responsible for determining the travel documents they require and should allow sufficient time for processing before traveling to Canada.
