This is your opportunity to showcase your talent and leave your artistic mark on one of the city’s milestone celebrations!
🔹 Step 1 - If you live or work in St. Pete, submit your resume/CV, proof of residency or employment, and samples of your work HERE. Deadline to submit is Friday, May 16 at 5pm.
🔹 Step 2 - Three artists will be selected, and each will receive a $300 stipend and have one week (deadline is May 28) to create a design capturing the essence of the Pier and the vibrant St. Pete community. Criteria for choosing the three selected artists will be adequate proof of living or working in St. Pete, FL, artist’s resume/cv and quality of work samples.
We’re looking for eye-catching, unforgettable designs that capture the Legacy of the St. Pete Pier! 🎨
Your design should include:

A stunning poster design that captures the energy and essence of the Pier and St. Pete.

A smaller, versatile version of the poster, designed to shine on keepsakes like baseball hats, magnets, tote bags, and cooling cloths.
These designs will be presented to the Director of Events Recruitment and Management, City Development Administration and chosen on June 1 based on the following evaluation criteria.
- Ability to capture the aesthetic representation of the Pier’s 5th anniversary.
- Must be a local St. Pete artist with a background of living and working in St. Pete.
đź’° The selected artist will receive an additional $1,500, along with the thrill of seeing their artwork featured across the city! (All copyrights will be released upon selection.)
The selected art will be used in some form for limited free t-shirts, posters, postcard/rack card, and competition certificates and plaques…and not intended to be monetized. Items will be given away to guests attending the Pier 5 Year Anniversary events.

Every weekend in July, the St. Pete Pier transforms into a vibrant celebration of its 5-year anniversary, inviting guests to immerse themselves in an unforgettable experience. Marvel as masterful sand sculptures rise from the shore and breathtaking murals take shape before your eyes. Feel the thrill of a 5K run along the waterfront, move to the rhythm of live music, and find your flow with open-air yoga sessions. As the sun sets, prepare to be dazzled by a mesmerizing drone show, spectacular fireworks, and heart-pounding performances from a jet ski stunt team and waterski show.
