The third annual Concord International Festival will be held on Saturday, Sept 30th in Downtown Concord showcasing the beauty of embracing different cultures.

In 2023, the festival will have a new location at Spring St. SW & Barbrick Ave. SW. The festivities will kick off at noon and continue until 6pm, promising a day full of cultural exploration and entertainment.

• This year's lineup includes live music and dances from a diverse array of countries, including Mexico, China, India, Brazil, Zimbabwe, Palestine, Russia, Spain, and tropical music from Latin America.

Get ready, wine and beer enthusiasts, because the much-anticipated "Toast of Kannapolis" is back!

📅 Friday, Sept 22nd from 6 to 9pm; Doors will open at 5:30pm, allowing guests plenty of time to explore all the different options.

Different for this year’s event… Admission is free, but attendees will buy samples on-site from each vendor. You must be 21+ to attend this event. It is important to note that IDs will be checked on-site for beer and wine samplings, ensuring a responsible and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

🛍️ The “Toast of Kannapolis” is more than just wine and beer; it's also host to a large vendor fair. You'll find a marketplace where local vendors showcase their handmade craft items. This is a great way to support local artisans and discover unique treasures.

🥏 Disc Golf Tournament Raises Funds for Foster Care Needs

Foster care ministry, Overflow419, is hosting a Disc Golf Tournament to raise funds for items such as car seats and beds that they keep in a storage unit for children who come into foster care.

• Helping provide these items can relieve some of the initial financial stress on the foster family as they help vulnerable children settle into their homes.

📅 Sept 30th at 10 am

💰 The tournament fee is $30 per team of two.

Register online but take cash the day of the event to pay for the tournament. Take a few extra dollars to pay for mulligans and/or to participate in other fun game options outside the normal tournament.

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. Other games and fun options for prizes will include:

Bubbas Bunkhouse in Harrisburg is hosting a Bourbon Tasting on Sept 27th from 6:30-7:30pm. 🎶🎉 The final Thursdays on Main concert will be held in Veterans Park in Downtown Kannapolis at 6pm on Sept 14th featuring the Blackwater Band, known for their blues and funk sound. 🇺🇸 Our local chapter of The Daughters of the American Revolution is having a special National Constitution Day celebration on Sept 17th 📜🔔. They will be ringing the bell of freedom at the home of the Eastern Cabarrus Historic Society, 1145 N College, Mount Pleasant, NC 28124, at 4pm (the time the Constitution was signed)! 🗽🎉 Everyone is welcome to join in and have a chance to ring the bell! 🙌
