Among Friends
by Hal Ebbott
On the surface it looks like the perfect weekend. Two families, thirty years of friendship, a comfortable country house, and all the rituals that come with knowing someone that well.
Ebbott's debut is a masterclass in slow-building dread, peeling back the warm veneer of a long friendship to reveal the envy and resentment quietly festering underneath. When something unspeakable happens, everything these families thought they knew about each other, and themselves, begins to fracture.
Sharp, propulsive, and deeply unsettling in the best possible way, this is a novel for readers who know that the people closest to us are often the ones we understand least.

Leaving the Station
by Jake Maia Arlow
Zoe's first year of college did not go as planned. No friends, failing grades, and somehow an ex-boyfriend, which is a lot to reckon with when you are still figuring yourself out. So she boards a cross-country train home and tries to outrun it all...
Then she meets Oakley.
Arlow writes with warmth, humor, and real emotional intelligence, delivering a romance that is also a quietly honest story about failure, identity, and what happens when you let someone actually see you.
Perfect for readers who want their love stories layered and their journeys worth taking.
