Reminder: Vista Property Owners Encouraged to Attend Community Meetings on Potential Funding Changes on March 18

The City of Vista is hosting community meetings to discuss potential funding adjustments for vital city services, including landscaping, street lighting, and street maintenance.

As maintenance costs continue to rise, keeping service levels steady has become increasingly challenging. Current assessment amounts, unchanged since 1991-1992, have led to reduced street sweeping and deferred maintenance on streetlights, traffic signals, and roadways.

To address these concerns, the City invites property owners to attend one of two in-person meetings where officials will outline the proposed funding adjustments and preliminary assessment rates.

📅 Meeting Date: March 18

🕕 Time: 6 pm

📍 Location: Morris Vance Community Room, Vista Civic Center, 200 Civic Center Drive

These meetings provide a chance for property owners to gain insight into the proposed changes and their potential impact. In the coming weeks, property owners will receive two ballots by mail, allowing them to vote on whether to update assessment amounts. The ballots will be officially counted during the Vista City Council meeting on May 13.
