Free After-School Programs for Vista Youth at the Linda Rhoades Neighborhood Community Center
The Boys & Girls Club of Vista, with sponsorship from the City of Vista, is offering free after-school recreation programs at the Linda Rhoades Neighborhood Community Center, located on the Vista Academy of Visual & Performing Arts campus at 600 N. Santa Fe Avenue. This exciting initiative, designed for youth in grades K-8, provides a safe and engaging environment for children to explore sports, recreation, and healthy lifestyles through the "Triple Play: Mind, Body, Soul" program.
The program will run from October 14 to November 1, 2024, and features activities like soccer, basketball, volleyball, flag football, baseball, and dodgeball. Each sport will be introduced in a six-week cycle running Monday through Friday, with specific dates to be announced. Space is limited to 50 participants per session, ensuring a focused and supportive environment for all attendees.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to register as soon as possible due to the program's limited capacity. To secure a spot, contact the Boys & Girls Club of Vista at 760.724.6606 or email membership@bgcvista.com.
This collaboration reflects the City of Vista's ongoing commitment to enhancing community resources and promoting healthy, active lifestyles for local youth.
