FOREVER GRATEFUL
My wonderful Trinity church family,

I will be serving as the Worship Leader for the Contemporary Service through December 19, 2021. You may be surprised, but I have been serving in this role for twelve years! Yes, I know! My eyes just bugged out of my head at that thought, as well!

Being involved in the Lord’s work here at Trinity has been a beautiful experience. Helping my church family lift their praises to God during times of joy and grief and everything in between has been an honor that I have never taken lightly. Thank you for trusting me with your prayer requests these many years. It is a privilege to pray for you.

The decision to step down from leading worship has come with much prayer and counsel. Both Matt and I feel that I am entering a season of rest. I am also excited to use this new-found time to devote to our daughter, Justice. The afternoons and evenings we have been spending at church in ministry will now be spent completing homework and other family-type activities.

Thank you for the love you have showered on me as I have served you. My prayer for you is that you know that worship does not happen in a building but in every moment of your life. Every breath and step you take is an act of worship of our Lord and Savior.

In His Grip,

Shannon Hull
TRUNK-OR-TREAT
WE STILL NEED TRUNKS & CANDY!

In the past, our Trunk-or-Treat event has been one of the highest attended outreach activities. We are hoping to bring it back better than ever! Our goal is to have 40 trunks decorated by families, Sunday school classes, local business, and school clubs, with a best-decorated trunk competition. None of this is possible without your help!

WHEN: Sunday, October 24 from 5-7 p.m.

WHERE: Trinity United Methodist Church (403 Racetrack Rd NW, Ft. Walton Beach, FL 32547)

WAYS YOU CAN PLUG IN AND HELP:

  • DECORATE YOUR TRUNK AND PASS OUT CANDY AT THE EVENT
  • You can register by yourself, as a family, small group, or any other way you'd like to. We ask that you decorate for families of all ages to come, so be creative, and you may win one of our top 3 prizes! We recommend having 800 - 1,000 pieces of candy to distribute.

  • DONATE CANDY
  • If you can't make it to the event itself, we can use candy donations to be passed out at the event. We ask that all candy be individually wrapped and dropped off at the church office during business hours.

  • VOLUNTEER AT TRUNK-OR-TREAT
  • We'll have many jobs to do on the day of the event, so if you'd like to help with registration, passing out church info, be a candy running, help with parking/ crowds, photography or videography, set up or clean up, then volunteering is for you!

We can't wait to share this awesome opportunity with you! Register with MaKenzie Johnson by emailing communications@trinityfwb.org or calling the church office (850-862-4169) to sign up today! This event needs you, and we thank you in advance for impacting our community through this outreach event.
Come one, Come All.
Katie Alexander is one of Trinity’s 9:45 Contemporary worship service STARS! She currently helps lead the worship. “I am thankful for the opportunity to serve Trinity in the ways that I do. It’s one of the highlights of my week getting to be with my church family.” You won’t want to miss this dynamic, spirit-filled Christian lady in action, so if you’ve not been a part of the Contemporary service, now is the time to see what it’s all about.

In addition to leading service, Katie is the 9th/10th-grade small group leader and volunteers with our youth on Sunday nights. She’s a homegrown Ft. Walton native and nine years ago was invited by a friend to the Trinity youth group in the spring of her high school junior year. Ever since then, she’s been involved because it was the first place she “felt accepted, that I felt at home.” What an incredible Testament to our Trinity youth leaders and volunteers and the seeds they plant for His Kingdom!

Katie owns her own Health Coaching business and works full-time as a legal assistant at a local law firm. She is patiently waiting for God to place her future husband in her life when the time is right and cannot wait to be a mom. Katie also can’t wait to share what’s on her heart with Trinity members and thanks our Heavenly Father for bringing her out of her comfort zone as a Worship Leader.

Katie, your Trinity family, thanks you for all you do in your reciprocal “planting of seeds” and loves watching you grow in Christ!
