De Colores!

In this email you will find the current Cursillo Sounds for Weekend #189, which is the first Sounds to be issued in two years. THANKS BE TO GOD! Just click on the picture and you will be taken to the document.

First, given the hiatus, a refresher in palanca procedure may be helpful.

 WRITTEN PALANCA:

The Secretariat has suggested that for those who wish to focus energy on the Participants, writing only one note to the Team Members is acceptable. Please, however, write two notes to the Participants; one for Friday and one for Saturday.

Please do not put any reference to "Friday" or "Saturday" or "Day 1" or "Day 2" on any envelope for either Participants or Team members. Instead, put your notes into three separate piles (1.Participants -Friday; 2. Participants-Saturday; 3.Team). Please ALPHABETIZE each pile by last name.  Secure and mark each pile according the three designations above (rubber bands or zip-lock bags).

GIFTS:

If you have a gift that is too big for a regular envelope, please do not send it to Camp. Rather, wait until after the Closing to present it to your Participant in person.

LINKS FOR PAPER PRAYER PALANCA CHAIN:

Cut a piece of 8.5 " x 11" colored paper into 1-inch strips. Cut across the short edge so each strip measures 8.5" long. On one side of the strip, write your name. On the other side of the strip, write a Participant's name. Ideally, you would make one strip for each Participant, for a total of 19 strips. Place your strips into an envelope and mark them "Paper Links for Prayer Chain." At Camp, the Palanca Cha's will staple the hundreds of links that will come in from the 4th Day into a LONG chain, and the Participants will be informed that each link represents a fellow Christian who has been praying for them. This is a POWERFUL visual of the love of Jesus being showered upon them through prayers of the saints
