Klondike Derby!

Spread the word! The HAD Klondike Derby will be January 24-26, 2025! This is a challenging winter camping event for Scouts BSA members in which patrols participate in competitive activity stations, prepare their meals outdoors, and camp in tents for one or two nights. The purpose of this event is to reinforce winter camping skills, scout skills, and the patrol method.

This year's theme is May the Frost Be With You! Troops are encouraged to deck out their sleds with cardboard, duct tape, paint, and whatever else you can rustle up at the outpost barter station to look like starfighters or bounty-hunter ships! Scouts are encouraged to dress up as galactic soldiers, rebel troops, and good old space ruffians! There will be prizes for best costume and best sled design. Contact Tesher Andrés with questions.

Cub Scout Yukon Trail!

There's gold in them there hills - the hills of Round Valley!  The HAD Yukon Trail will be held on Sunday, March 2. The location is TBD, but count on that date.

The Yukon Trail is a Hunterdon Arrowhead District tradition founded in appreciation of the gold prospectors who braved rugged conditions in search for gold in Alaska and the Yukon as part of the Klondike Gold Rush. The success of the Yukon Trail is driven by the full participation of all units in the district. Cub Scouts put their Scouting skills to work in the field, demonstrate teamwork and Scout spirit, and have fun together in the outdoors on a winter day.  Local troops demonstrate leadership by running stations for the Cub Scouts.
