The last year has changed a lot of things. Our co-workers have become our spouses, children, and pets. Our daily life, vocabulary, and work habits have changed too. Below are a couple of recent examples from my work from home chronicles.
One morning, my co-worker (aka hubby) made coffee that tasted a little odd, minty really. I told him about the taste, and he said that it tasted odd to him too and then a light bulb went off in his head. He realized that he had cleaned the pot out the night before with some Efferdent and forgot to rinse it out.
Did he drink that nasty coffee? Apparently, a half a cup. Yes, he is still alive and no, his lack of noticing the taste did not mean anything other than his need for coffee.
Another day while Zooming (is it officially a verb now?), someone noticed a folded-up ping pong table in my home office (which is in my basement). When asked what it was, I told them it was my version of a green screen.
Do you have any funny work from home stories? I would love to hear them. Feel free to send to me at email@example.com
