Visit The Largest Tulip Festival In The GTA

With more than half a million tulips, plenty of photo-ops, and lots of tasty food and drinks to enjoy, you do not want to miss out on the newest pick-your-own event in Durham Region—Tulip Days!

 

Opening May 8 at Pingle’s Farm Market, enjoy a wagon ride to the pastel-coloured fields. From there, you can wander through the blooms with a special area dedicated to picking your own bouquets. There’s plenty to do for the whole family with farm animals, playland, music and a visit to the market and bakery.

Maplefest Returns To Bowmanville

Everything is sweeter in Bowmanville on May 3 for Maplefest. Stroll four city blocks of the historic downtown for a celebration of everything maple syrup.

  

Enjoy maple treats, live music, activities for the kids and unique items from the craft and food vendors. Maplefest is also an opportunity to support the many independent shops and restaurants impacted by the fatal fire in March.

  

Admission and parking for Maplefest are free. There is also a free shuttle service from the Garnett Rickard Recreation Complex.

Celebrate Pride With Youth Pride Durham

Kick off Pride Month with an afternoon of entertainment and fun activities for the family at Youth Pride Durham. This free event runs June 1 at Durham Regional Headquarters in Whitby.


From 1 to 4 p.m., enjoy live performances, a DJ, magic show, face painting, popcorn and cotton candy. Stop by the Resource Village to learn about programs and support offered by community service organizations from across Durham Region.


Youth Pride Durham is a friendly, inclusive celebration for youth, children and families who are part of 2SLGBTQI+ communities. Allies are welcome too!
