A record-breaking 241 campers are participating in this year's Kings Kids Summer Camp!
The summer program held at the Kings Preschool and Childcare in the Kings Education Center offers a fun-filled summer for students ages preschool through 6th grade. The all day program consists of activities such as the Beach Waterpark, going to the movies, bowling, the Cincinnati Zoo, the Museum Center, and much more!
We caught a couple classes tending to the vegetable gardens this week.

FREE Summer Lunch Program
|
|
This week kicked off the FREE Summer Lunch in the Village Program.
Over 95 FREE meals were served to students daily. The Kings Food Service Department in partnership with Joshua's Place are offering FREE lunches on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the South Lebanon Community Center through July 26. No registration is required.

Important Back to School Dates

Little Knights on Broadway Camp
|
|
Kings Stagelighters hosted their first Little Knights on Broadway Camp on Saturday, June 1.
Twenty-one campers joined in on the fun where they learned two songs and dances in one day! The campers were led by seven Kings High School student counselors and three KHS alumni.

from P&G and who is a Kings parent gave the keynote.
Mary Reece
who is a Founding Board Member of the Kings Stagelighters said, "It was a success and there was fun for everyone!"

Kings Kloset Stuff-the-Bus
|
|
The Kings Kloset is hosting their annual Stuff-the-Bus event on Saturday, August 3.
The Kings Kloset is a student-led nonprofit clothing center that provides free garments and supplies to those in need within the Kings Local School District. On average, the Kings Kloset serves 30-50 individuals a month and they also conduct a school supply drive at the beginning of the year.
Their Stuff-the-Bus event will be held from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at J.F. Burns Elementary. See below for items needed. Additionally, mark your calendars for a special opening of the Kings Kloset for school supply distribution.
The Kloset will be open on Saturday, August 10 from 9:00-11:00 a.m.

Kings Student Registration to Go Online
|
|
We are making changes districtwide with our back to school forms.
All schools
in the district will be using a system called FinalForms which will allow you to complete registration forms online.
We are hopeful that this system will save you time and increase the accuracy of the information we collect from the forms you turn in each Fall. You should receive an email from FinalForms to activate your account. We will also be sending you detailed information on the new process. Thank your for your cooperation!

Conservation Educator of the Year
|
|
KHS teacher named Conservation Educator of the Year!
Congratulations to Kings High School teacher,
Anne Schipper
for being named Conservation Educator of the Year by the Warren County Soil and Water Conservation District. Mrs. Schipper will be
honored at their annual meeting on Wednesday, August 21.
KHS Principal, Doug Leist said, "Mrs. Schipper is very passionate about her AP Environmental class (and all of her courses). Our students are very lucky to have her as a teacher."

If you have a student entering 7th and/or 12th grade, you will need to be sure they are up-to-date on vaccines.

Kings Students Perform in Footloose
|
|
ROYAL Theatre Company, Home of The Children's Theatre of Mason's, presents Footloose June 7-9 at Mason High School. This production features 20 students from the Kings Local School District from the elementary schools through the high school.
The show will run for four performances – Friday, June 7 at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, June 8 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.; and Sunday, June 9 at 2:00 p.m. VIP reserved tickets can be purchased for $25 each and General Admission reserved tickets can be purchased for $12 each. Kings Night at FC Cincinnati

Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 21 to celebrate Kings Night as FC Cincinnati takes on Chicago! Game time is 7:30 p.m. Cost of tickets are $15 per person. Watch for the purchasing link when we return from summer break!

Registration is now open for any child entering grades 3-6 for the fall season of Kings Volleyball. Registration is held online at

Practices begin mid-August and will be held at either one of our schools or at Sports Express. The season consists of 10 matches plus a tournament, all held on weekends over a six week interval in September and October. We are always in need of coaching talent, so please do not hesitate to sign yourself up! Boys can play in the league; please see the website for further instructions.
