A NOTE FROM THE PRESIDENT & GENERAL MANAGER //

We know the Summer has been super hot here in Texas, which means our technicians have been out in this unbearable heat. So, to show our appreciation, we celebrated our fantastic technicians on National HVAC Tech Day on June 22nd. On that day, I took a drive to ten job sites to visit some of the techs in the field and was honored to give them a special gift of appreciation.

In addition, our whole Hunton organization treated all our technicians across every division to a Chick-Fil-A gift card. I hope you enjoy this blog post we wrote about National HVAC Tech Day; be sure to check out the pictures of our techs hard at work.

EFFICIENT AND HEALTHY SCHOOLS CAMPAIGN // CONGRATULATIONS TO KATY ISD

We are excited to share the good news of Katy ISD being honored for The U.S. Department of Energy’s Efficient and Healthy Schools Campaign.

Efficient and Healthy Schools Campaign, with technical support from Berkeley Lab, honored 17 K-12 schools and districts serving over 600,000 students in 15 states as part of the 2023 Recognition Program.

The only school in Texas:

Katy ISD - Students: 94,000, Schools: 75

SPECIAL PROJECTS TEAM // TEXAS SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY

We will be working on the indoor air quality (IAQ) of five buildings on campus to improve overall comfort and that work includes:

HRS // GEORGE BUSH INTERCONTINENTAL AIRPORT

In June 2023, HRS provided emergency HVAC relief to the IAH. The air conditioners inside George Bush Intercontinental Airport were struggling to maintain temperatures. Officials stated, due to the scorching temperatures they had the units working at "reduced capacity." All terminals were affected. Records show temperatures reached over 80 degrees in some parts of IAH. HRS was quick to respond. HRS installed temporary chillers to supplement the main air conditioning unit as techs got to work on repairs. HRS's response time, quality services, and availability of on-demand equipment made some happy customers.

HRS is proud to be a part of Moody Garden’s Ice Land again this year.

We will be keeping 28,000 sq. ft. insulated tent structure a cool 9°, offering the environment needed to for diverse array of ice sculptures.

This year’s theme for Ice Land is Rainforest Holiday. We encourage you to take your family and friends to visit this breathtaking event. You don't want to miss the incredible talent of the master ice carvers who come in from Harbin, China.
