Happy August! The days are getting warmer and summer events are in full swing — let us drive you to the fun! Our fixed route buses take you to the region’s top entertainment, shopping, sports, family activities, and more with easy and affordable access.

Check out these events this August:

• First Fridays of Downtown Washington: August 1st stop by the Main Street Pavilion for music, arts, shopping, food, and fun
• PONY League World Series: Cheer on youth baseball players from around the world August 8 - 13th
• Washington County Agricultural Fair: Ride with us August 9 - 16th and enjoy food, music, animals, and family-friendly activities
• Corks & Kegs:  Hop on the Metro Saturday on August 16th and enjoy one of the largest craft beer festivals in the region

August is back-to-school for many of our local students and families, and we want to make the transition from pool days to school days as smooth a ride as possible!

Freedom Transit offers local students ages 12 to 18 enrolled in middle or high school a discounted 30‑day bus pass. Student bus passes can be used on any fixed route bus to any destination — all for a flat fee.

Passes are available at the Washington Transit Center for just $10. Proof of enrollment (report card, class schedule, or student ID) must be shown at the time of purchase.Payment can be made with cash or credit card at the Transit Center.



Washington School District students may also purchase passes at the Administrative Office for $10 (cash only).
