Sail Through Security: Stress-Free Airport Tips from Your Travel Agent

Ready to take off on your next adventure? Before you jet set, let's make sure getting through airport security is a breeze! Here are some insider tips to help you navigate those checkpoints like a seasoned traveler:

Know Before You Go:

  • TSA Regulations: Stay updated on the latest TSA guidelines for carry-on and checked baggage. Visit the official TSA website (www.tsa.gov) for the most current information on prohibited items and packing tips.
  • 3-1-1 Rule for Liquids: Remember the 3-1-1 rule for carry-on liquids: containers must be 3.4 ounces (100ml) or less, fit in one quart-sized zip-top bag, and be limited to one bag per passenger.
  • Real ID: Are you ready for Real ID? On May 7, 2025, U.S. travelers must be REAL ID compliant to board domestic flights and access certain federal facilities.

Prepare for Takeoff:

  • Dress Smart: Wear easily removable shoes and avoid excessive jewelry or accessories that may set off the metal detector.
  • Organize Electronics: Have your laptop and other large electronics readily accessible for separate screening.
  • Pre-Pack Liquids: Place your quart-sized bag of liquids in an outer pocket of your carry-on for easy retrieval.

Expedite Your Experience:

  • TSA PreCheck/Global Entry: Consider enrolling in TSA PreCheck or Global Entry for expedited screening and shorter lines. These programs can save you valuable time and reduce stress.

Navigate Like a Pro:

  • Arrive Early: Allow ample time for security, especially during peak travel seasons.
  • Choose Your Lane Wisely: Observe the lines and select the one that seems to be moving most efficiently.
  • Be Prepared: Have your boarding pass and ID readily available.

By following these simple tips, you can confidently navigate airport security and start your journey with ease. Happy travels!

New UK Travel Requirement: Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA)

Starting January 8, 2025, travelers from 49 non-European countries, including the United States and Canada, need to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to visit the United Kingdom. This new requirement aims to streamline the UK's immigration system, making it quicker and more secure for millions of visitors each year.

The ETA, which costs Β£10 (approximately $12.51), is valid for multiple entries over two years or until the traveler's passport expires, whichever comes first. It allows for stays of up to six months for tourism, visiting family and friends, business, or short-term study. However, it does not permit work, living, or accessing public funds in the UK.

Applying for an ETA is simple and can be done through the UK ETA app or the government's website. Applicants need to provide passport details, a photo, and answer a few questions. Decisions are typically provided within three working days.

This new system follows similar measures in the US and Canada, aiming to enhance border security while facilitating smoother travel experiences.

For more information, visit the official UK government website or the UK ETA app: iPhone - Android

Happy Clients

Dear Denise,

The Dreams Jade was absolutely PERFECT for an adult family vacation. While the buffet food was nothing to brag home about, the restaurant food made up for this! Being part of the preferred club was so worth it, the service and rooms were spectacular! I cannot thank you enough for setting this trip up for us and providing us with a week I will never forget!! Thank you!!

In addition, it’s no secret that Robert and I got engaged during this trip and I’m an anxious Annie who doesn’t like being the center of attention so I am leaning towards a destination wedding with around maybe 75 guests
