Farewell & Best Wishes!

We send our warmest wishes to Rachel Siegersma as she leaves us at the beginning of September to return to her “roots” in a preschool classroom. Rachel has served Wisconsin's Northwest Region, as a Pyramid Model Program Coach, hosting regional Communities of Practice, providing Pyramid Model practitioner trainings and mentorship with graceful skill. Her leadership made a true difference. We'll miss you Rachel!

We wish our dear Golshan Motamedi, HMHC Consultant, a sincere goodbye and best wishes as she enters a new chapter in her professional career. Since HMHC's inception, Golshan has diligently supported three ECE programs in the Southern Region, created wonderful trainings for ECE providers and participated in agency advocacy efforts. She has leaned into her work with perseverance and grace over these last couple of years with us. Golshan, you will be missed.

WI-AIMH Consultant Institute's Participant Outcome Report

WI-AIMH’s Consultant Institute: Reflection, Relationship and Rejuvenation, held June 17 and 18 in Fond du Lac, was a big success!

Forty-three Reflective Practitioners and IECMH Consultants attended, and, together with members of WI-AIMH staff, explored Harry Aponte’s Person of the Therapist (POTT) model. The POTT model has three components—knowledge, access and management of self—which were deeply explored through content, individual and group reflection, application using case scenarios, and experiential and creative activities.

A special thanks to WI-AIMH’s Healthy Minds Healthy Children Director Corey Robak-Klein, who was the keynote speaker!

Check out this infographic for even more data about who attended, what participants found most useful, and what strategies participants plan to use in their work moving forward!

Endorsement®

Endorsement® Across the Globe:

Together to 10K

Join thousands of professionals across the globe who are working toward a shared goal: building a strong, well-prepared workforce for babies, young children and their families. We are working with our fellow IMH associations who are also members of the Alliance for the Advancement of Infant Mental Health to get to 10,000 Endorsements by the end of 2025!

Why does this matter?

Because Endorsement® represents more than a credential, it’s a commitment to relationship-based, reflective and developmentally-informed work that makes a real difference in the lives of infants, young children and families.

*Some professionals hold more than 1 endorsement!

Check out our Endorsement® webpages to learn more!

Questions: Endorsement@wiaimh.org.

Congratulations to the following IECMH professionals who earned Endorsement® this summer:

Nicole Robinson – Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist

We have two application submission deadlines coming up:

Let’s do it, Wisconsin: Together to 10K! Keep going!

September, a Month of Awareness & Reflection

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month—a time to raise awareness, promote hope, and normalize help-seeking. Suicide affects millions of people every year, yet too many struggle in silence. Whether you’re facing challenges, supporting a friend or loved one, or are looking to help, your voice matters. This month is dedicated to recognizing the warning signs for suicide, encouraging open conversations about mental health, and connecting people to proven treatment and resources. When we stand together in strength, dignity, hope, and purpose, we can make a difference—we can help save lives. ~ SAMHSA

How IMH Correlates to Suicide Prevention

Last year, WI-AIMH' Executive Director Lana was featured in a news report about childhood mental health. Watch the video below to learn about the correlation between suicide prevention and the earliest relationships between child and adult.

Welcoming Change, Reflections for Fall Equinox

The fall/autumn equinox is September 22 this year, and "symbolizes balance and the harvest, marking a time for letting go of what no longer serves you while embracing gratitude for life's abundance. It represents a period of introspection, reflection, and transition towards the darker, colder months, mirroring nature's cycles of growth, harvest, and eventual decay."

Let this season of transition encourage you to slow down and pause, honoring your past efforts and welcoming renewal as another season of nature and life begins.
