Feeling is Believing!
The Invisible String by Patrice Karst is written with a charming simplicity that highlights the depths of love and the intangible yet profound link between all of us. It comes highly recommended by the Uplift team, including School and Community Clinician, Sarah Sweda, beaming with joy! The Invisible String both affirms and soothes readers by offering a calming sense of clarity through stormy weather. As children journey through grief, it is especially important for them to know they are connected to their loved ones and that no amount of distance, even that caused by death itself, is too far for our hearts to stay connected. Have an Amazon account? An Uplifting Alternative
A group of students from Middlebury College in Vermont visited Uplift's East Falls office to engage in an enlightening afternoon training learning about our mission and work. As an alternative Spring Break, these amazing undergraduates traveled to Philadelphia to learn more about organizations making an impact throughout the region. Uplift's Kevin Carter (Clinical Director), Darcie Rudolf (Family and Services Clinician), and Katherine Streit (Training Coordinator) presented to the group, sharing Uplift's history, grief group structures, and the power of our local community. It was an Uplifting afternoon and great Spring Break experience for our guests!
Congratulations, Uplift!
