Mari, imagine being a child, walking through a vast, wild prairie—feeling the warmth of the sunshine on your skin, hearing the whispering wind rustle through the tall grass, and seeing butterflies flit from flower to flower against the backdrop of a brilliant blue sky.
You silently crouch down and hold very still to get a closer look, the gentle hum of nature surrounding you. Then, you look up at the vast sky, fascinated by the ever-changing shapes of the clouds above. With each deep breath, you feel a profound sense of peace and wonder, connected to the natural world in an almost magical way.
This is the kind of transformative experience that your support helps provide at Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center.
Today is the final day of the Spring Membership Drive! If you feel inspired to extend your support, consider making a donation.
Donate Now to Support Nature Programs
Your contributions do more than support a good cause; they act as a powerful catalyst for change. Each year, thousands of children from across Minnesota engage deeply with nature through our programs, fostering a lifelong love for the outdoors and becoming future caretakers of our planet.
Picture young adventurers hiking trails, hugging trees, touching cool water as they canoe across a serene wetland, and building resilience and confidence.
Imagine the thrill of scaling the climbing walls and soaring on the flying squirrels, gaining not only physical skills but also a sense of accomplishment, self-assurance, and teamwork. Our programs emphasize team-building activities, fostering cooperation and social skills among participants.
You’ve shown that you believe in the work to foster environmental stewardship in the next generation. In the last ten years alone, Prairie Woods has served 158,718 active participants, facilitating a connection with nature that we hope will last a lifetime. This impressive number highlights the impact and how we've transformed our backyard into a sanctuary of learning and conservation.
Remember, your generosity extends far beyond the immediate horizon, reaching into the lives of countless future leaders, thinkers, and caretakers of our planet.
