How much are tickets for the High Holy Days this year?
As usual, tickets for our BCC members are free! This year, we have decided to offer free tickets to everyone who would like to join us for the High Holy Days. Our vision is to be truly inclusive and welcoming to all who might need a High Holy Day home in the hopes that BCC may become an all-year-round home. We want to encourage new faces and voices to join our community and eliminate the barriers to entry during this holy season. We encourage donations from all who attend and have a few generous underwriters who are helping us to make up the difference.
Do I have to be a member to attend BCC's HHD services?
No! We welcome everyone who would like to join us for this special time of year.
Is there a cost if I intend to watch remotely?
No, all services are free this year!
Is registration required?
Yes! Please make sure you register! Registering in advance allows us to plan appropriately.
How do I register?
You can register using the paper form sent to you in the mail or using the link here: https://bethchayimchadashim.shulcloud.com/event/hhds2025. If you need any help filling out the form, please reach out to the office at bcc@bcc-la.org or by phone at (213) 290-6139.

Will all the High Holiday services be at Temple Akiba this year?
Most of our services will be at Temple Akiba with a few exceptions:
September 24: The Pre-Tashlich study session and Tashlich will be at 4 PM at the beach in Santa Monica near lifeguard chair 28. Afterwards, dinner will be held at a private residence and open to BCC members only.
What's the parking situation like at Temple Akiba?
There are several designated parking spots available at Centinela Feed & Pet Supplies at 5299 Sepulveda Blvd, Culver City, CA 90232, next door to Temple Akiba. They'll have a sign that says "Temple Akiba'' on it. Parking is also available in the small lot in the back. Some unrestricted street parking is also available. Please arrive early to give yourself enough time to park. If you need handicapped parking, please let us know at bcc@bcc-la.org.
Where do I enter Temple Akiba?
The entrance to Temple Akiba is now through the alleyway behind the building.
Will there be a Yizkor book this year?
Yes! The yearly Yizkor book is a longstanding BCC tradition. This year, the deadline for submitting names is September 5th. Please click here to input your names and make a donation to support our beloved community.
Do I need to be a member to add names to BCC’s Yizkor book?
No. We welcome anyone to submit the names of their loved ones.
Will all services be live streamed? Where?
Almost! All services at Temple Akiba will be live-streamed to Zoom. The only exception is Tashlich.
Will there be food?
Yes, there will be a light oneg following Erev Rosh Hashanah service, a festive dairy potluck following Rosh Hashanah morning services (be sure to sign up in advance!) and a light break the fast at the close of Yom Kippur.
