Product Focus: The NIA Insulation Sampler

The NIA Insulation Sampler provides samples of generic mechanical insulation product types and accessories. These small, portable sample boxes are designed for ease of use, with an illustrative product schematic guide that denotes the product type. Each sample has its own compartment space to remain organized and undamaged within the sample box.

In developing this kit, NIA aimed to represent many major mechanical insulation types. The kit is an excellent tool for your internal training and resource library, as well as external sales discussions and presentations.

Safety Update: National Emphasis Program on Heat-Related Hazards

OSHA has recently updated its National Emphasis Program on heat-related hazards related to outdoor and indoor related hazards. The program focuses inspections and outreach on industries and workplaces where heat stress risks are most likely, and it will remain in effect for 5 years.

Heat illness remains a serious and preventable risk for both indoor and outdoor workers, leading to injuries and fatalities each year. Employers should review heat safety practices, which include providing water, rest, and shade, training workers to recognize symptoms, and adjusting schedules to limit exposure during high-heat conditions.
