Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Happy Birthday! The Parent Venture, our nonprofit organization, just turned five, and we could not be more proud. What started 18 years ago with 25 parents in the M-A High School library now reaches families in all 50 states and 67 countries.
Join us for two upcoming events on family, gender identity, and sexuality:
1) How can we build safe and accepting communities for LGBTQ+ youth? Anthony Ross, AMFT, therapist, health educator, and founding director of Outlet, offers How to Talk With Your Child About Gender and Sexuality (November 29).
2) Emmy award-winning filmmaker Preeti Mankar Deb presents the second in a series of short documentary films, MY BODY TO LOVE: Dee's Story. Preeti will be joined by Dee and Natasha Singh, sexual literacy educator (November 30).
NEW! Kelsey Moon, ASAT Program Director, ACS, will discuss What Should You Know? Fentanyl Education and Harm Reduction Strategies. San Mateo County Supt. Nancy Magee will join us for an introduction (December 5).
