Belleview and Bluedale Residents Enjoy the Spirit of Baltimore

As summer draws to a close, our residents of Belleview and Bluedale enjoyed a great day on the water via the Spirit of Baltimore. We wanted to share our adventure and our all-white outfits made the day a true success! We enjoyed a great excursion on the water and outstanding food. It has been a great summer and this event was a perfect way to close it out in style.

We are always looking for new, fun activities and if your company or organization has an idea to facilitate an event, please reach out to AJ Oskuie at ajoskuie@hartwoodfoundation.com or 703-981-4911. We would love to hear from you and thanks for considering us in your 2024 plans as well.

Hibbard and Spring Lake Residents Take in Commanders Training Camp

Earlier this month, residents from Hibbard and Spring Lake homes attended the Washington Commanders training camp in Ashburn, Virginia. The Commanders were excellent hosts and the residents enjoyed getting player autographs. Optimism spreads eternal for the Commanders with the start of the new season on September 10th.

We celebrate the retirement of Anthony Patrick

Anthony Patrick, who first started receiving emergency respite services from Hartwood in June of 2000 and is a current resident of our Hibbard St. group home, has after 23 years of receiving job coaching/employment support from ServiceSource retired at the age of 63. Housemates and friends gathered to celebrate the occasion at a local Olive Garden. Anthony now looks forward to participating in ServiceSource's senior wellness center a few days a week while continuing to exercise and stay active at home and in his community.

CONGRATULATIONS ANTHONY OF YOUR RETIREMENT!
