Thank you to all of you who helped us celebrate at our 25 Years of Impact with WBEC Florida party on Zoom. It was great fun seeing old friends and new contacts!

We'll have lots of photos and memories to share with everyone in the days to come. But for now, we know everyone has been wondering who won the coveted monarch-themed awards.

Well, wonder no more. Here they are:

Award Recipients

• The Monarch Legacy Award, which honors enduring commitment and the foundational role someone has played in our journey — just like the monarch's long and epic migration. LaRae Floyd, Broward Health

• The Royal Wings Award, which reflects the majesty of the monarch and celebrates those who uplift others by leading with strength and grace. Allen Hall, Florida Blue

• The Monarch Emergence Award, which celebrates early transformation — like a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis, full of promise and energy. Dhomonique Murphy, SkillSprint Workforce Solutions

• The Chrysalis Award, which recognizes someone who has been a quiet but powerful force in our journey, like the chrysalis that holds and protects the butterfly during its transformation. Willie Johnson (pictured above), VyStar Credit Union and Blanca Robinson, retired, WBEC South and WBENC

• The Endurance Award, which celebrates those whose steadfast commitment and resilience carry them toward their dreams, no matter the distance, just as the monarch butterfly braves a migration of thousands of miles. LaKesha White, WBENC (pictured below)

• The Catalyst Wing Award, which honors someone whose belief in our mission helped spark a bold new beginning — and whose internal championing turned a single opportunity into many. Traneice Mills, Amazon

• The Flight Forward Award, which represents forward momentum, recognizing someone who is charging bold paths and helping others rise with them. Wande Diakite Leintu, Amazon

• The Kaleidoscope Award, named after the group that is formed when monarchs gather in a living mosaic of color, movement and grace, which recognizes the beauty and strength found in unity, diversity, and the vibrant tapestry we create together. And in a surprise move, WBEC Florida Board Chair Terri Hall presented President and CEO Nancy Allen with a metal tree sculpture with a plaque that read: "A Legacy of Growth Transformation, and Leadership."

EXTRA EVENT: Insider's Executive Roundtable: 

Creating a Multiple 6-Figure Differentiator to Land Larger Contracts

When: 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24

Where: Disney's Boardwalk Conference Center

While she's in Florida at Go for the Greens, Chala Dincoy will lead a free two-hour executive roundtable of select women business owners whose companies produce $3 million or more in annual revenues and already sell to corporations.

She will share her experience on both sides of purchasing negotiations to help participants get to the decision-makers faster. Then participants will share their stories about what worked and didn't work for them in procurement negotiations.

Pamela Prince-Eason

Celebration of Life and Legacy Planned for October 9

The family of Pamela Prince-Eason and WBENC have planned a special Celebration of Life and Legacy in honor of WBENC President and CEO Pamela Prince-Eason, who passed away June 30.

Date: Thursday, October 9, 2025

Time: 10 a.m.

Location: National Cathedral, 3101 Wisconsin Ave. N.W., Washington, DC 20016

Pam was a visionary leader, tireless advocate for entrepreneurs, devoted friend and mentor, and beloved family member. Her unwavering belief in equity and opportunity inspired countless individuals and shaped a more inclusive future for generations to come.

This memorial will honor Pam’s profound impact on the world and celebrate the light she brought into so many lives — both personally and professionally.

All are welcome to attend and pay tribute to a woman whose legacy will continue to empower and uplift. WBENC will be sharing virtual attendance details prior to the service.
