We sold the graduate salutes to 33 sponsors, including a pharmacy, funeral home, restaurant, several insurance companies, several automotive companies, a florist, orthodontist, farmers market, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, and more.”

- Bryce Wilson, Curtis Media Group - Goldsboro, NC

We did $11,000 with the graduation salutes this year. Graduation always sells well for us."

- Buzz Patterson, KKIA/KAYL, Storm Lake, IA

“We were hurting because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and it would have been worse if it hadn’t been for the high school graduation salutes – they really pulled us out, and we were grateful to have them.

- Don Enochs, WZLT, Lexington, TN

"Local businesses want to buy "ideas" a lot more than they want to buy "advertising." We used the demo spot and script provided to us by Grace Broadcast, pitched it to the client and sold it on the first try! We've done this before with other packages from Grace Broadcast. Thank you very much!"

-Stefan Rybak, Long Island Radio Broadcasting

We sold $3,500 of the Above and Beyond Salutes this year. That makes us happy because other sales are down. We produced a special Live Memorial Day Show and included all the Above and Beyond salutes in the program as a bonus to the advertisers, which they appreciated." - Dave Birnie, KCNI, Broken Bow, NE

"Memorial Day sold great. Sponsors love the features and they can't wait till next year to sponsor again." - Mirissa Anderson, KHND, Harvey, ND

Short video introduction to Memorial Day features

Rod has some prospecting ideas for you.

These features practically sell themselves! I'm not exaggerating. In my experience, securing sponsorships has been as simple as playing the demo for the prospect, followed by reading their customized tag. Last year, my accounts alone accounted for over $4300 in Memorial Day sponsorships here in our town of 34,000. And all my presentations were by phone or email.

Given the broad appeal of both the Memorial Day vignettes and the Graduation salutes, I believe any business is a prospect. Here are some of the most reliable categories for each series, based on historical personal sales success and generous feedback from our radio station clients.
