At this point in time, the interest rate is at 6.90% for a 30 Yr. Fixed Rate. It doesn't appear to be affecting home sales as the number of homes that are going under agreement are holding strong.
If you are looking to buy a home, my suggestion is to check out the price-reduced homes each week, you may just find your new home in this category of home.
