Tip / Strategy To Try Out

Print a Poster with Adobe Acrobat

Looking for the perfect visual for your classroom or lesson but don't want to break the bank? Adobe has the answer. Print and assemble your own posters, here's how:

To print a large poster using Adobe Acrobat’s tile feature, first open your file as a PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader and select File → Print. In the print settings window, look for the Page Sizing & Handling section and choose Poster, which turns on tile printing. This allows a single large image or document to be spread across multiple sheets of paper that can be assembled into a poster. You can adjust the Tile Scale to control how large the finished poster will be — start at 100% and increase the percentage to make it bigger. Set an overlap of about 0.25–0.5 inches so pages line up easily when taping, and turn on cut marks to help with trimming and alignment. Use the preview to see how many pages will print before sending the job to the printer. Once printed, trim the edges and tape or glue the pages together from the back for a clean final display.
