Trevor joined BBA in 2023, drawn by the organization's forward-thinking mission and vibrant community. He has contributed across multiple areas, from moderating panels and shaping events to event photography. As Director of Strategic Partnerships at The Crypto Recruiters, he helps build impactful teams for leading organizations in blockchain and Web3.

Helen Gugel

Co-Chair Strategy Committee

Helen, who joined the BBA board in 2025, is a partner at Ropes & Gray and a highly regarded legal advisor in the blockchain and crypto industry. With more than a decade of experience in securities and commodities enforcement, she counsels investment advisors, exchanges, developers, and innovators navigating the evolving digital asset landscape.

Anja von Rosenstiel

Co-Chair Strategy Committee

Anja, who joined BBA in 2025, brings extensive expertise in blockchain regulation and digital assets law. A lecturer at Boston University Law School and research fellow at the Decentralization Research Center, she has co-authored a handbook on European crypto regulation and a comparative law treatise on DAOs. Her private practice spans banking, securities, financial services, and corporate law, with a particular focus on blockchain and digital assets across the Boston and Frankfurt markets.

The Knox family is pleased to invite the Boston Blockchain Association community to the 10th Anniversary "Crypto on the Hudson" party. Taking place on Saturday, October 4th, this year’s gathering promises to be an unforgettable day with over 125 registered guests.

Set in Cold Spring, NY, during peak foliage season in the beautiful Lower Hudson Valley, the event will feature entertainment by Astrograss-Country Blue Grass Band, gourmet food, and signature drinks from the Knox Farm. You’ll also have the chance to enjoy a ride in one of the Knox’s classic cars and trucks, adding a touch of nostalgia to the day's festivities.

If you’re arriving by train from Grand Central to Cold Spring, Jim Knox will arrange a car service for the day to pick up passengers at the station. Full details about the car service will be provided before October 4.

This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with colleagues, peers, and friends in the Digital Asset/Blockchain industry, all while enjoying a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

Ava Labs: Summer 2026 Engineering Internship Program – Applications Opening Soon

Ava Labs will soon open applications for its Summer 2026 Engineering Internship Program. Students interested in protocol-level design and engineering are encouraged to follow Ava Labs and connect on LinkedIn to stay updated. Last year, thousands applied within days, so early preparation is recommended.

Suffolk x TopContenders: AI Startup Design-A-Thon Competition

The Suffolk x TopContenders AI Startup Design-A-Thon Competition, in partnership with Boston Blockchain Association and FintechWomen, invites student innovators from universities across Boston to submit a 60-second pitch video on IdeaMentor by September 10, 2025. The pitch should focus on an AI-driven startup idea that addresses a real-world problem or opportunity, such as AI for business solutions, healthcare, sustainability, finance, education, ethics, or automation. Teams will then vote on their favorite pitches, form teams, and work on refining prototypes before presenting at the live pitch event on September 28, 2025, at Suffolk University. Prizes include IP protection, PR services, funding, and mentorship. All current college students from schools like Suffolk, MIT, Tufts, Harvard, and more are eligible to participate.
