RCHV Reaches 70 Cafes with New Ellenville Cafe Coming in August

The first Ellenville Repair Cafe will take place next month at Studio Glagola which is located in downtown Ellenville's historic Norbury Hall.

RCHV has reached a milestone as it now supports 70 repair cafes throughout the Hudson Valley, Catskills and Capital Region. In a beautiful parallel, the newest cafe will be in Ulster County, which was also home to our very first cafe. The New Paltz Repair Cafe was started by RCHV founder John Wackman back in May 2013. The first Ellenville Repair Cafe is scheduled for Saturday, August 16th from 12pm - 4pm. It will be held at Studio Glagola which is in Norbury Hall located at 73 Center Street in Ellenville.

Also in the pipeline are cafes returning to Cornwall, Castleton and Newburgh. A new cafe is also launching in Millerton this October.

Eileen Fisher® hosts Irvington Repair Cafe on July 26th

RCHV is so excited to announce that Eileen Fisher® will be hosting the next Rivertowns Repair Cafe in Irvington on Saturday, July 26th from 11am - 3pm. Long dedicated to sustainability and passionate about offering free garment repair to their customers, Eileen Fisher looking for a way to collaborate with RCHV to bring attention to the growing repair cafe movement. The cafe will take place at Eileen Fisher's headquarters located at 2 Bridge Street, Suite 230, in Irvington NY. For more information, contact fromer@sustainhv.org.

Especially with the long weekend at the start of the month for the 4th of July holiday, July brings a bit of a respite for our busy organizers and fixers. But you can still find cafes in Dutchess, Orange, Ulster and Westchester Counties this month if there's not one in your area and you feel like a summer road trip!
