New Dana Point Art Installation!
Seascape Mural Makes a Splash in Dana Point
The "Stairwave" Mosaic, created by artist Mia Tavonatti, was completed August 16th. The mosaic took roughly ten months to create and three weeks to install. The artwork, which includes ceramic and glass pieces, encompasses the 118 steps from the harbor up to Lantern Bay Park.
Inspired by mosaic staircases in San Francisco, this new stairwave mural is another in Dana Point's collection of mosaic pieces near the harbor, including some depicting whales, surfers and throwback images of the cityβs history.
