Hometown Hero:

Corporal Zachary Brady

We're proud to spotlight this month's Hometown Hero, Zachary Brady, who has been hired as Airport Technician II. Zack is a Saint Cloud native and a graduate of Saint Cloud High School. He began his aviation journey in 2019 when he enlisted in the US Marine Corp as an Active Duty Marine Aircraft Rescue Firefighter. Zack’s first assignment was in North Carolina and upon completion of active duty service, he continued to serve his Country, assigned to the Marine Wing Support Squadron 472 as Firefighter in the US Marine Reserves serving as America’s 911 and the nations immediate response force. His squadron is located at McQuire AFB, New Jersey and reports routinely for drill weekend. As an Airport Technician II his responsibilities include maintaining the airfield electrical systems that provide visual navigation to aircraft, mowing operations of over 1,000 acres, and performing routine preventative maintenance on the airport’s equipment. His previous aviation experience comes from his enlistment in the US Marine Corp as a Firefighter, responding to aircraft emergencies, performing airfield debris inspections, and building prefabricated surfaces for aircraft refueling operations. Zack enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs in his spare time and is a huge fan of the Indianapolis Colts. We are glad to have Zack on board with his aviation and military experience that will be useful in a dynamic airfield such as Kissimmee.
