1000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge for families

Get a head start on reading with 1000 Books Before Kindergarten. This is a nationwide program to prepare children for a big milestone: kindergarten.

Research has shown that children get ready to read long before they enter school, and reading with your child builds an early literacy foundation for soon-to-be readers. Reading just three books each day will allow children to complete the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program in one year.

Visit the Library's website for more details and how to track your reading in Beanstack.

Family Bilingual Storytime and Gardening

Every Wednesday in October, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Join us for a bilingual storytime and gardening program! This five-week bilingual program combines storytelling and hands-on gardening for children and families. Held weekly at the Library Learning Center, each session features a bilingual story followed by an interactive gardening class based on the Grow Your Garden curriculum. Led by a bilingual master gardener, instruction is provided in English and Spanish, making the experience inclusive and engaging for all participants.
