As we settle into 2026, our mission continues with The Power of Rescue - A Journey of Hope, Courage and Love. We began that journey with Rowan - a pup who exemplifies hope and courage, despite her horrific injury, and still radiates love. She is a direct beneficiary of the incredible support you have bestowed upon AGA.
💛 Thank you to our volunteers, fosters, donors, and community. Every transport, every dollar, every hour of your time directly changes a Golden’s life. We are so grateful.
🐾 The need is great, and growing. Medical expenses remain our biggest challenge, with dogs arriving in need of urgent care, surgeries, and long-term treatment. Your support helps us say “yes” to every Golden who needs us.
🏡 We’re also in urgent need of foster families. Even a short-term foster can be the bridge to a forever home. If you’ve ever considered it, now is the perfect time to step in.
❄️ As temperatures drop, please remember to keep your dogs safe, warm, and indoors. Cold weather can be dangerous, even for the fluffiest of pups.

The Power of Rescue – A Journey of Hope, Courage and Love is a year-long storytelling campaign that highlights the remarkable rescue journeys of dogs who’ve found safety, healing, and love through Adopt a Golden Atlanta.
Each month, we’ll share one dog’s story, where they came from, how they were rescued, and the community that helped them along the way. Some stories are difficult. Others are joyful. All of them matter.
This campaign is a celebration of what rescue truly means, and the people who make it possible.

Hi, I’m Mark, and even though the last part of my life has been pretty tough, I’m still one very happy, wiggly boy. Not long ago, I was found as a stray with Marlin (who has since been adopted), and we think we might be brothers. We were underfed, dirty, and wandering around on our own. I’m one year old, about 48 pounds, and I’ve got all the puppy energy you’d expect… tail wags, zoomies, and a whole lot of enthusiasm now that I’m learning what love feels like.
