2025 TOH District Pinewood Derby

Pack 79 out of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Perkasie, PA had the privilege of hosting the 2025 Tohickon District Pinewood Derby on Saturday March 15. A total of 75 racers came through enjoying the races, games, food, and a classic Pinewood Derby Car Show. Medals were awarded to the top 3 in each rank level and then the top 8 racers overall raced in the Grand Finals. Thank you to everyone who came out! 

Gold Rush

Gold Rush is an outdoor themed event for teams of Cub Scouts. The theme for this event is based on the Great California Gold Rush. The Cub Scouts are encouraged to do their best in fun activities at a series of "towns" (stations), where they will be awarded a "claim" of "gold nuggets" based on their performance. The format is similar to the Scouts BSA Klondike Derby, but the Cub Scouts bring a Pack constructed “Conestoga Wagon” instead of a sled. Award will also be given to best Conestoga wagon.

7:45 AM - 8:30 AM Set up towns.

8:30 AM - 9:00 AM Check-in for Cub Scout teams 

9:00 AM - 9:15 AM Opening Ceremony and Instructions

9:15 AM - 11:45 AM Gold Rush!!!

11:45 AM - 12:00 PM Tally & Awards

12:00 PM - 12:30 PM Clean-up

$8 for Cub Scouts on or before March 31
