Jenny Westendorf, yoga instructor at the Cedar Valley Sportsplex will teach three restorative yoga sessions at WPL! These sessions are low-impact and beginner-friendly. Yoga mats and blocks will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own.
Registration is Required. You may sign up for as many sessions as you like, but you will need to register separately for each date you'd like to attend. Register here.

Join some fellow bird-lovers for an urban birding adventure through downtown Waterloo! Local experts from the Prairie Rapids Audubon Society will lead participants on a walk near the river to spot waterfowl and other songbirds that nest in the city. We will meet in the Conference Room beforehand, refreshments will be provided after the walk.

Have you ever seen a Magic: the Gathering card and wished you knew how to play, or wondered where to even begin? Join us for an informative, Magic-filled event! Teens will learn the basics of the game, be given a brief overview and example of what a battle looks like, and will go home with a stack of their very own Magic cards! This event is geared toward newer card players, but experienced players are welcome to join in on the fun.

In this workshop, embellish a simple clay pendant with paint and/or stamped letters to create a one-of-a-kind statement piece, a perfect enhancement to your favorite chain. Participants will leave with instructions to make their own clay at home. Registration is required.

Participants can learn basic sewing skills, such as using a sewing machine, accurate ways to measure, mark, and cut fabric, and some basic sewing tips. This inexpensive stand can be made to fit a cell phone or tablet.
Participants will need to bring: A fat quarter of material in a pattern of your choosing. All other materials will be supplied.
Participants are welcome to stay afterward starting at 1 pm to work on other sewing projects. Registration is required.
