Taste of the Town 2025

A Heartfelt Thank You for an Unforgettable Day

On Sunday, May 4, 2025, the Child & Family Center hosted its 36th annual Taste of the Town at the beautiful Blomgren Ranch. We were proud to welcome guests who came together to enjoy gourmet cuisine, fine wines, craft beers, and live music, all in support of vital mental health, substance use treatment, and domestic violence services for local children and families.

Attendees indulged in unlimited tastings from over 30 local restaurants, caterers, wineries, and breweries. The atmosphere was elevated by the return of crowd-favorite band Mark LeVang and Friends.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our sponsors, including KTLA and Chris Schauble, whose support made this day one to remember. A special thank you to our dedicated volunteers and the incredible community members who attended and contributed to the success of Taste of the Town 2025.

Your participation ensures that the Child & Family Center can continue providing compassionate care and support to those in need. We look forward to seeing you at next year's event!

Creative Harmony Workshop Series Brings Families Together Through Art, Music, and Connection

Over the past month, families from across Santa Clarita came together at Child & Family Center for our Creative Harmony Workshop Series, a three-part event celebrating self-expression, creativity, and healing.

Hosted by our Pathways to Recovery program, the series offered families a chance to bond and build resilience through engaging, hands-on activities. From mask-making to woodburning family crests and feeling the rhythm in vibrant drum circles, each evening was filled with laughter, learning, and lasting memories.

Held at our Centre Pointe campus, the workshops welcomed families of all backgrounds to explore the healing power of creativity in a safe, supportive environment. Children and parents alike shared in the experience, discovering new ways to express themselves and connect more deeply with one another.

As one parent shared, β€œIt was beautiful to see my kids light up doing something new together.”

We are proud to provide opportunities like this where families can grow stronger together. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make Creative Harmony such a meaningful success!

Safety, Shelter & Support

As We Close Out Mental Health Awareness Month

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, Child & Family Center encourages our community to pause and reflect on how we can continue to show up for one another. With one in five people facing mental health challenges each year, chances are someone close to you is carrying more than they let on.

This month has been a reminder that kindness, empathy, and connection matter deeply. Whether through a listening ear, a gentle check-in, or simply being present, we all have the power to make a difference in someone’s life.

Let’s carry that awareness with us beyond May and continue to create a community where no one feels alone in their struggles.
