If there was ever a noun that caused a cascade and triggering of emotions, it’s the word Mother. Many have had beautiful relationships with their Mothers—many more—not so much. The relationship is often rocky, and filled with hurt and painful memories. This lifestyle piece hopes to address those that still have feelings of angst, resentment, abandonment, anger and unresolved negativity around the relationships with their Mother. Why now? Because it’s one of those sacred relationships we must begin to heal as we move into the new energy of tomorrow. In other words, “We’ve gotta let it go—and rewrite our story.”

Our connection with our Mother or as Mothers, goes beyond simple corporeal understanding. It was our first home—and we share an eternal link which we are forever tied. We pick our parents—our Mother too. So, why on earth would we pick such a challenging, rocky and provocative one? What have we come to learn? What have we come to teach each other?

I myself, struggled for years. I couldn’t understand how I was treated, judged and so many times unsupported as her daughter. Filled with angst over one such an event, I saw a psychiatrist in the 1980’s who had me read, Healing the Child Within by Charles Whitfield. That book impacted me deeply—and I began my healing journey. Decades later as my spiritual journey unfolded, I learned about soul age, levels of consciousness and soul relationships. That was another big step in my awareness and my understanding. I journaled and wrote letters (never mailed). I argued and cried and yelled with a mentor. It was so hard for me to understand “the why”. I came to understand that our perspectives about life and people were entirely different. There were many conditions that were “unchangeable” and had to be met in her view of the world, for things to be okay. I was more open to new and different, and so our worlds clashed.

We never seem to realize, growing up, that our parents have hidden traumas and issues of their own, that affect them, their choices, decisions, and actions which have never been addressed or healed. After all, we think our parents are older, wiser and more astute—but sometimes, it is the child who unknowingly carries this wisdom from many more lifetimes. It is our light, our experience on the earth plane, and a higher vibrational frequency that is objected to—and yet when I grew up, we knew nothing about these invisible concepts. Confusing? You bet.

As a Mother myself, I vowed to do things different. And I did. I read many books. I told my own kids that they didn’t come with directions, and I was doing the best I could. If I made a mistake, I apologized to them. Each one was very different. It was hard to believe they came from the same two parents. They were souls who had chosen me. I used to say, I’d find out what I “did wrong” when they themselves saw their own therapists in their 30’s. So far, we have a pretty good relationship, and I am proud of that trust and friendship. It is an unconditional, unwavering love—it has always been—and will always be.

So what, you say, as we come up on another day to celebrate the universal holiday in the United States for Mothers everywhere. What do I do?

Here are several thoughts to help heal this perhaps difficult relationship and bring you to a place of empowerment. They are general ideas and concepts. They are not the only ones, but I hope they help you. If you still struggle—find a therapist or counselor you can trust and begin your own healing journey.

1.) You picked your Mother; and she is playing her part in this “play of Earth.” Ask yourself, was this a test about self-love for me? Worthiness? Confidence? Resolve? Boundaries? What if it’s not about pleasing her, but about doing what’s right for me? We each have our own unique soul journey. She has hers too. Honor that.

2.) Explore your triggers; anger, abandonment, abuse or other emotional issues that still have energy. Set your pure intention and say a verbal “yes” out loud to heal. This sets the energy in motion. We are always at choice point—and it’s about us, not her.

3.) Know you are enough. You are loving. Relationships are about growth and expansion. Rewrite your story, and you are your own hero. You are here to discover your part of the divine creative source or as I like to say, as Earth Angel here in disguise. Fooled even you, huh?

4.) As a friend of mine recently stated, “Iron sharpens Iron”. I thought of it as child boot camp—or boots on the ground. Everything we somehow need to learn—is entangled in this corporeal-cosmic-multidimensional relationship. What is it for you? Can you see the bigger picture? Now, does it begin to make sense? Unresolved emotions and dis-ease go hand in hand.

5.) On a bigger grander scale—and from the “100,000-foot level”, what you do with your life will make a difference for the vibration of the planet. What happens to the planet will then affect the whole. Will you take responsibility for your condition as it stands right now? Do you claim victimization as your plight? Will you walk into your fears, trauma or anxiety in order to quickly get past them and move into your contract and the reason you came to earth in the first place? I bet so!

Happy Mother’s Day—one and all.
Isn’t it time to give birth to something new?

What Does this mean? Decoding 101
Decoding messages from us to us is something that is coming to light and seeing its way into the mainstream--slowly. There is a connection between our physical health challenges and our mind and spirit. We cannot ignore those other parts of ourselves. We are emotional spiritual multidimensional humans. And, these physical dis-eases indicate we are "out of balance," something is "off kilter." Dis-ease alerts us that there are deep unresolved emotional blocks holding emotional angst at some level. Are we the brave ones to step up to heal our lineage? What was the emotional trauma we experienced as a child? What was so terrible, we have simply blocked it out? The conscious mind likes to ignore and repress that shadow that lurks within. However, our smart body, our innate, and intuition part of the subconscious and cellular memory remembers everything. In 2020, we will explore, just briefly the most common imbalances lying below the surface--a gift waiting to be seen and healed--for good! ❤️

The cat is an animal that is much more sensitive to what is invisible than most persons are. It embodies sensuality and gentleness. An allergy to cats may be more related to the aspect of my personality that can ‘feel’ things (the ‘feminine’ side), though I may have no concrete proof of this. I may therefore experience intolerance because I have no rational proof. It is clear, then, that the cat (or the female cat) symbolizes the female sexual side 12 and all the feminine qualities such as gentleness, charm, tenderness. I experience a certain duality between the need to receive gentleness, for instance, and my fear of it. There is an anxiety related to sexuality that can originate from a prohibition or guilt, or even death. I must therefore accept to move from my head ↓ to my heart ❤️ these aspects, which I probably refuse either to receive or to manifest.

NOTE: This feline sensitivity is explained by the fact that the cat’s morphology features a nervous system concentrated mainly in the periphery of the body, whereas in humans the nervous system is more concentrated in the body’s core. This special morphology makes the cat more sensitive to the special vibrations or energies of persons and places or, in a sense, to what a person or place ‘gives off’.

Power Animal Oracle Cards
Power animals are spirit guides in animal form. "Trust your instincts
to guide you through this situation."

It's a big forest out there, and I'm sure you feel a little lost sometimes. Let me tell you, however, that the path is well marked even if you can't always make it out at any given moment.
Come to your senses--literally--and stop thinking so much about it, or at least stop trying to figure out what to do or which way to go by analysis and cogitation.
Use your eyes, ears, and nose to gather information. Then drop your awareness into your gut, which is the seat of your instinctual self. Your senses are meant to register information in a way that can be felt in the body, which is your most reliable compass. The mind is useful--don't get me wrong--but it's much overrated, and all those random or obsessive thoughts can get in the way of pure awareness. Pure awareness means without preconceived notions, anxiety, or anticipation. Close your eyes, breathe deeply and easily, clear your mind, and you'll know what to do to find your way through.

Recipe of the Month:
🍃 Orange Julius 🍃

Bon Appetite!

Orange Julius

YIELD: 2-4 Servings
PREP TIME:  5+ minutes
Makes: 2 large glasses or 4 small glasses

My youngest son called me a few months back. His request: "Mom do you still have the Orange Julius recipe?" Yes, I did, although it had been years since I had even thought about it--let alone made it. My recipe was contained in a small cookbook put together for the graduating Kappa Kappa Gamma seniors back in 1978. This was submitted from a gal named Debbie Dickinson. So, as the weather turns warm, it seemed like a nice cool, sweet, and frothy drink with a delightful creamsicle flavor might just fit the bill for May. If you have the desire to make it more of an adult beverage--a shot of tequila, vodka or peach schnapps is an optional addition. The point is tasty, fun and easy! And a bit of relaxin' to enjoy the day!

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 6 oz can of frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups ice

Step 1 : Put all ingredients into your favorite blender, and blend fully.

Step 2 : Pour the Orange Julius into your favorite glasses and enjoy!
Cathy's notes: As simple as I remember. Even better than I remembered.
Bon Appetite

Seeded From the Stars

Seeking balance. Magnetic fields. Five truths. Great Central Sun.

Once upon a time, there was a planet called Earth, whose name was Gaia. She held the life force of this heavenly body, known within the Universe as the garden planet because of her natural beauty. She was very old by human standards—and yet young when compared to other planets, and planetary systems. Many Universes and galaxies were billions of years older, beyond our knowledge or comprehension, so old that Gaia, in fact, felt like ‘the new kid on the block’. So big was this vastness, (Click)

Biological Decoding Here Today
Conflicts and trauma are sometimes obvious and sometimes not and make their presence known to us as dis-ease and imbalance in our lives; manifesting in our body.  Weight issues or acne are obvious to most, but what are the traumas, loyalties and imbalances locked away in diabetes, heart disease, cancer, or behind simple allergies and minor illnesses given labels or the diagnosis's we receive at the doctor's office? Do you want healing or just relief?

The premise is easy. Disease and sicknesses are "nothing more" than emotional conflict(s) or trauma, --lessons to learn (that may be passed down from our ancestors) running in an "invisible" field of energy unknown or unrealized to us until it emerges as our brain's (the ultimate computer) solution for the disturbance deep within our psyche. More simply, the first law of Biological Decoding states: "Every pain or disease originates from a conflict. The conflict is an unexpected, highly acute, and isolating shock that occurs simultaneously in the PSYCHE, the BRAIN, and part of the BODY that corresponds to the type of conflict. Discovering the conflict aids the brain in sending messages to repair the body".

If we are human, we all have unresolved emotional conflicts. Heal them for yourselves--heal them for your kids and break the pattern. Biological Decoding goes hand-in-hand with our allopathic medicine today which addresses the mechanical aspects of our disease.

How can I help you today?

The Biology of Decoding is an amazing tool to assist in the discovery of the root cause of dis-ease.  This discovery and decoding opens the door to healing, deepens spiritual understanding of who we are and releases limiting beliefs and patterns.

"If the mind doth bend, disease can end."
