Southern Technical Institute‘s Phlebotomy Technician Certificate Course prepares individuals to draw blood samples from patients using a variety of intrusive procedures and also prepares you to collect and process other clinical specimens within a healthcare setting.

More than Just Drawing Blood

Have you ever noticed that when a Phlebotomist draws your blood that they use several tubes with different color tops to collect the blood samples? Each one of those tubes has additives that provide a variety of measures to ensure that lab test are accurate. The Phlebotomy Technician Certificate Course addresses these additives in great detail to ensure that you are well prepared to work with the most common ordered blood test within a healthcare facility.

At the successful completion of the course, you will be able to properly identify blood collection tubes by color, tube additives and how to address a variety of common ordered blood test collection requirements to ensure proper laboratory processing.
