Howdy!

While we love seeing classic cars and hearing live music, the real reason we gather every year is simple: supporting children with severe medical needs and their families.

On Saturday, September 5th, our community came together at New Ridge Fellowship for our 16th Annual Classic Car & Bike Show. It was a sun-filled day packed with 277 beautiful vehicles, delicious food, tons of raffle prizes, live music by MC Randy Dittman, and incredible community spirit.

The true highlight of the day was welcoming 20-year-old Maiyah Fields and her parents, Charlene and Michael. Maiyah lives with epilepsy and experiences sudden, unannounced seizures. To keep her safe at home, Happy 2 be Home recently approved $29,000 for a critical home modification to renovate her bathroom for safety and accessibility.

Maiyah was given the special honor of choosing the recipient for the Happy 2 be Home trophy, and she picked a gorgeous 1939 Plymouth Coupe Street Rod in purple (her favorite color!).

Her family shared these moving words with the crowd:

"The bathroom renovation Happy 2 be Home is helping make possible is not simply a home improvement—it is a change that will directly improve Maiyah’s safety and make a lasting difference in her daily life."
