Jr High Refuge Summer Camp Prayers

Please join the staff in lifting up all our Jr. High students, their leader, Suzan, and volunteers going to Living Springs Camp from June 2nd-6th, where they have many fun activities to participate in. Please pray for safe travels and that they will stay healthy all week. Pray that friendships will be strengthened, and for their relationship with Jesus to grow exponentially as they continue their classes each morning and then worship each evening. May the Holy Spirit move in their hearts and spur them to seek God all the days of their lives.

As of June 1, Jr. High Refuge will be known as Middle School Refuge and will include 6th grade through 8th grade students, who are welcome to participate in all events. Confirmation classes are for 7th/8th graders, so if you are interested in enrolling your middle schooler in this wonderful program, email Suzan Scudder

Love of Learning - Desert Gardening

John Jay Harper will be our Love of Learning guest speaker on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 1pm in Room B. His presentation “Practical Gardening for the Summer in the Desert” is not to be missed. Jay comes to us with tons of knowledge to share. He was president of Harper’s Nursery and Landscape Co. for 37 years. After the business closed in 2017, Jay continued his commitment to growing better crops, turf, plants and trees naturally and organically in a few different roles. The Harper name is a familiar one here at La Casa de Cristo and we are very excited that he will be spending time to teach us. Foster kids get the 'royal treatment'

Thanks to all those who have helped in any way to prepare to send off 48 foster children, ages 7 to 11, to camp for a week of fun, friendship and making memories! The kids will go horseback riding, fishing, hiking, zip-lining, rock wall climbing, and more! On Wednesday they will ALL be celebrated with one huge birthday party, complete with gifts, cake and ice cream! Please pray for safety and good health for all those participating the week of June 3-7. Pray also for the foster families of these children who provide love and care, where it is absent in their families of origin.
