Prayer-Art Practice Hour
Bringing ALL of Who We Are into Communion with the Divine
Five Wednesdays of Listening Within,
Creating & Connecting with Spirit
| | |
There is so much happening in our world and in our individual lives.
Sometimes we feel inspired, grateful, and hopeful. Other times uncertain, overwhelmed, or simply not sure what to do with everything we're experiencing.
What happens when we give ourselves permission to bring ALL of who we are into communion with the Divine?
Our joys, our sorrows, our questions, our hopes, our messiness. Nothing excluded.
I invite you to join me for five weeks of Prayer-Art Practice Hours, a sacred space to pause, listen within, create, and connect with Spirit.

For me, art-making has always been a form of prayer. A sacred place to commune with God, Spirit, and my own inner wisdom.
I like to think of Prayer-Art as a form of Active Meditation, a simple yet profound spiritual practice that invites us to connect with the Divine through creative expression, journaling, and inner listening.
Rather than creating something with a particular outcome in mind, we allow colors, lines, shapes, sounds, images, words, or movement to emerge from within.
There is nothing to figure out, nothing to make beautiful, and no right or wrong way to do it.
It's an invitation to show up exactly as you are and allow your creative expression to become a prayer.
Prayer-Art is not connected to any particular religion or belief system. Whether you connect with God, Spirit, the Divine, your inner wisdom, or simply a sense of something greater, you are welcome here.

Over the years, this practice has become one of my most treasured ways of connecting with Spirit.
I can come to the page feeling joyful, upset, uncertain, inspired, or anywhere in between. And through the process of creating and listening, I often experience shifts in awareness, unexpected insights, and a deeper sense of being seen, heard, held, and loved.
Prayer-Art was also the focus of my doctoral research in Spiritual Science, where I explored art-making as an ongoing spiritual practice.
I continue to be amazed by the wisdom, mystery, and possibilities that can emerge when we simply show up and allow.

"Art is a form of prayer.
It's a way to say what is not sayable."

Each one-hour gathering begins with a gentle centering and an invitation to turn inward.
From there, we'll move into our own Prayer-Art practice, followed by an opportunity for journaling, reflection, and sharing.
While I'll be engaging in my own art-making alongside you, you are welcome to follow whatever form of expression calls to you.
Perhaps it's painting, drawing, writing, singing, dancing, or simply sitting in silent meditation. And if you just want to come and hang out in the energy of our sacred gathering, that's welcome too!
There is no right or wrong way to participate.
Come exactly as you are. All of you is welcome!
No art experience or special supplies are necessary.
Just bring whatever materials might support your own creative expression.
