The 12% growth from NCHBC 2023's 1,099 teams to NCHBC 2024's 1,230 teams is not sustainable for NCHBC 2025.
NCHBC 2025 can sustain just about 4% growth at our most significant eight 2024-25 post-season events; below are NCHBC 2024's number of teams and the projected maximum number of teams we can accommodate. The South Texas District & Heartland Regionals have the most potential room for growth based on the facility situation; however, both events had at least 16 Varsity Boys (18u) teams; our goal is to only expand past 16 teams in these events if we have 20 teams, which means we anticipate a wait list for age groups before expansion.
The Midwest Regional has a new MAIN Facility in the brand new & gorgeous Farmers Bank Fieldhouse & will use PAC (the previous year's main facility) as our auxiliary court. As in past years, our auxiliary facility has been unavailable on Saturdays, which limits us from fitting 170-180 teams, so our CAP is projected to be the same number as in 2024.
- Nationals- 384 teams last year; 404 CAP projected for 2025.
- Big South Regionals- 205 teams in 2024; 214 team CAP projected for 2025.
- Midwest Regionals- 178 teams in 2024; 178 team CAP projected for 2025.
- Heartland Regionals- 104 teams in 2024; 106 team CAP projected for 2025.
- North Texas District- 100 teams in 2024; 103 team CAP projected for 2025.
- South Texas District- 84 teams in 2024; 92 team CAP projected for 2025.
- Southeast Regionals- 54 teams in 2024; 60 team CAP projected for 2025.
- Gulf Coast District- 51 teams in 2024; 56 team CAP projected for 2025.
