Laura DiBetta, Director of Outdoor Recreation at the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC), will speak on New York's Great Outdoors on Thursday afternoon. Laura will share the unique opportunities and challenges found on DEC lands and waters, highlighting key state initiatives aimed at connecting people with nature and the outdoors.

DEAI Case Study: How a Request from Disney Kick-Started Discover Schenectady's DEAI Strategy

When Disney's Broadway production of Aladdin was preparing to play in Schenectady, the staff at Proctors Theatre were asked for a list of LGBTQ and MWBE-owned businesses to share with the cast & crew. Realizing that they did not have one, Discover Schenectady embarked on a journey to develop its own DEI strategy.

The board, staff, and membership of the New York State Tourism Industry Association extend their condolences to the staff, board, and family of Robin Dropkin, PTNY’s long-standing executive director. Robin passed away peacefully on the morning of Sunday, February 26th, surrounded by loved ones.
