Veteran Appreciation Month

Since the conception of our foundation, Serving USA has been proud to support veterans. This month, we would like to thank the veterans across America. We have joined together as individuals and organizations to not only help each other and our own communities, but to reach out to people around the world.

Over the past two months, we have all witnessed news stories regarding Afghanistan and the monumental tasks of assisting individuals seeking to flee Afghanistan. While this humanitarian crisis unfolded, veterans immediately began to connect with one another with a common goal of forming groups who could assist not only American citizens, but also citizens of foreign countries and Afghans who have assisted the United States over the past 20 years, to escape Afghanistan and begin their lives in a new country.

The Mighty Oaks foundation is one such veteran organization that Serving USA proudly supports. Mighty Oaks has as a tremendous leadership team headed by Chad Robichaux, who put together teams and worked relentlessly to help literally thousands of people evacuate from Afghanistan.

This month we would like to thank every veteran for all the service that they’ve given this country. To those who stepped up to the task of helping people evacuate and escape from Afghanistan, we give you a special shout out.

Best Regards,

Team Serving USA

SUPPORT SERVING USA PARTNERS

In Loving Memory - Pastor Philip Galindo

1526929253195.jpeg

On October 16, 2021 our community of partners lost a great servant of God, Pastor Philip Galindo. This man has faithfully served the Lord for the vast majority of his life by serving others in need at a great sacrifice for himself. Pastor Philip recently succumbed to Covid and is now in the presence of the Lord.

Over the years, Pastor Philip has operated a reentry home known as Hallelujah House. Many men and women have gone through this home and successfully transitioned back into the community and reconciled with their families. Hallelujah House is a reentry home filled with God‘s love and grace, and it has been a safe haven to many people seeking a place where they could learn more about Jesus Christ and how to live as a Christian.

Pastor Philip Galindo will be dearly missed, but his legacy continues. His wife will be continuing the operation of Hallelujah House, and she will need your prayers. Please lift her up each morning, praying for her to have strength and grace, as well as the many people who will work with her to continue the success of Hallelujah House.

50% of returning veterans with mental health issues did not receive any treatment.

While military service often fosters resilience in individuals and families, some service members may experience mental health or substance use challenges.

Thirty percent of active duty and reserve military personnel deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan have a mental health condition requiring treatment – approximately 730,000 men and women, with many experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and major depression.

Funding made through our veterans campaign goes directly towards supporting programing for active military and veterans suffering from combat trauma, with an emphasis on PTSD. Click on the button below to donate today, we'll DOUBLE your donation!
